About the role
We are recruiting for a Senior Research Executive to join our growing social research team in
London. You will work on a range of exciting projects on issues like equity and diversity, health and
wellbeing, and sustainability – issues that matter and will make a difference to the world. You will
work with clients including the Cabinet Office, DWP, DCMS, Home Office, MoJ, NHS England and
many more. We’re looking for people now so don’t delay.
As a Senior Research Executive you will bring:
A grounding in research methods (either qualitative or mixed-method) gained agency or client-
side, with an interest in turning your hand to different approaches
Endless curiosity and a knack for understanding what influences people’s attitudes and
behaviours
An entrepreneurial mindset – we want you to help us nurture and shape the business as we
grow
Good communications skills, including written reports and presentations (much of work is
published so you will want to enjoy telling clear and compelling stories)
The salary is competitive (£30,000 - £37,500 per year) with inflationary rises, and bonuses based on
company performance. You’ll have 25 days of annual leave (plus an additional 5 days over
Christmas) plus access to private healthcare and pension. We’re also a sociable bunch so lots to get
involved in.
This is a hybrid role. We have a lovely office in Tottenham Court Road with snacks, coffee and lots of
colleagues to chat to. We try and come together as a Team twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday)
though no issues with coming in more often if desired.
In the first instance this is a six-month contract but, all being well, there will be scope to extend or to
consider a permanent position. We want to keep good people so please don’t let this hold you back
expressing interest.
Applying
If you’re interested in an informal chat then please drop us a line at social@basisresearch.co.uk and
we can jump on a quick call. If you’re already sold and would like to be considered for the role then
send across a short CV or bio (same address: social@basisresearch.co.uk), and tell us a little bit
about you and why you’re interested in working with us. Doesn’t need to be a long essay – just
something that helps convey a little bit of your personality, interests and ethos.
We’re keen to hear and speak to people in the next few weeks so if interested please do apply by
22nd November.
