Your opportunity:
To support our ambitious growth plans, we are seeking to expand Opinium’s Project Management Team. This is an extremely exciting and important move for Opinium, as the project management function acts as a catalyst for the wider research and operations teams.
As part of a close-knit team, you will be working with our clients and internal teams on multiple projects in parallel. You will oversee the delivery from inception through to final deliverables, ensuring that projects run efficiently, to specification, and to budget.
We are looking for people who are passionate, resilient, creative, and authentic. You will be enthused to help grow a business while working on projects for the greater good and building relationships with colleagues, teams, and clients.
Role & responsibilities:
Your role is vital to the smooth running of our processes and projects. You will be required to undertake the following core functions:
> Join key account teams to take responsibility for the end-to-end management of UK and international research projects, from developing the proposal through to project closure
> Work with a dedicated team to manage and oversee Opinium's flagship bi-weekly Consumer Omnibus, ensuring a seamless process and delivering consistently for clients and colleagues
> Take responsibility for quality assurance and best practice at every stage of a project
> Assess project feasibility, provide costs, and create project plans for new business proposals and live projects
> Occasionally support our Procurement team on ad-hoc requests (no prior experience is required within procurement as full training will be provided)
> Identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements during the project lifecycle
> Responsible for maximising and communicating financial performance across projects, ensuring costs are minimised where possible
> Conduct project reviews, identifying improvements and lessons that could be applied to future projects
> Coordinate closely and communicate clearly with colleagues and clients to ensure everyone is regularly updated on their responsibilities, deadlines, and the project status
> Grow and manage relationships across Opinium’s panel & supplier partner network
> Work on wider Operational and Project Management initiatives to benefit the entire agency, and run training on these initiatives when required
> Demonstrate a genuine interest in the latest developments within the market research industry, research technology tools/platforms and key players
Skills and qualities:
Must-have skills
We are looking for project managers with around five years’ experience within a quantitative market research environment. Experience managing qualitative projects would be a bonus but is not essential.
We’re all about passion at Opinium, so successful applicants will show a desire to give it their all, as well as:
>Expertise in online sampling methodologies and participant recruitment
> Data literacy
> A proven track-record of managing market research projects
> Strong organisational skills, with the ability to expertly manage multiple priorities and projects at once
> The ability to effectively delegate upwards, downwards & sideways
> Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with multiple internal and external stakeholders simultaneously
> A proactive attitude where your first reaction to a challenge is to try to find a solution
> Outstanding attention to detail
> Confidence in managing budgets and a desire to find cost efficiencies
> Analytical and strong IT skills expected (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as the ability to quickly get to grips with different and new market research software
> Experience mentoring junior colleagues would be a bonus

Education & experience:
A good academic record
Around 5 years of project management experience at a market research agency
