expert researchers working together to shine light on ethnic diversity & inclusion

Dedicated to revealing the truth behind the headlines, the Spotlight team are diving deep into the common themes, root causes and lived experiences of people from both sides of the debate. The primary focus is the market research sector but cross-sector comparisons and collaborative, intersectionality focussed studies with counterpart D&I groups, such as MRS Pride, are also on the horizon.

"We hear a lot about what the issues are and to be honest, in 2021, those findings come as no surprise to any of us. What's great about this group is the focus on not only a deeper understanding as to why these issues exist in the first place, but also the group’s goal of showing what positive, effective change should look like. Until that is understood, any efforts made to help the situation are essentially stabs in the dark. "

As well as providing fresh perspectives on the issue, the Spotlight team will act as a platform for young, ethnic researchers to showcase their talent. Agencies will be encouraged to volunteer one researcher of colour to work alongside our industry experts and deliver what will likely be the most meaningful work of their careers thus far.

Key to the success of this initiative is the formation of what CORe hopes will be the worlds most robust research panel of MRX Industry professionals. 

"Many reports have been released before this and while they have all been insightful in their own way, none have been able to achieve a large enough sample size to grant significance to the data collected. For us to see where we truly stand as an industry, we need everyone to join the conversation."
